Cops Arrest Mays Landing Man After Finding Drugs In His Car

A man from Mays Landing is facing charges after cops say they found drugs in his car.

Around 6:00 Tuesday evenings, Hamilton Township Police stopped 26-year-old Matthew Gonzales of Mays Landing near the intersection of Mill Street and Old Harding Highway. They detected an odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed marijuana, Oxycontin pills, and over $3,000 in cash.

Gonzalez was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with the intent to distribute. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
