Cops: Three Injured in Three-vehicle Crash on Route 30 in Galloway Twp., NJ
Cops in Galloway Township say three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on the White Horse Pike at Cologne Avenue Monday evening.
Authorities say the accident happened at around 5:30 when, according to an investigation, 49-year-old Trevor S. Cohen of Brigantine was driving a pick-up truck eastbound on the White Horse Pike near Cologne Avenue while 22-year-old Caitlin F. Juliano of Mays Landing was stopped on the Pike on the westbound side waiting to turn onto Cologne.
Then, according to police,
"A 2014 Honda Civic, being operated by Matthew R. Banks of Mount Holly, was traveling westbound on the White Horse Pike, approaching the intersection with S. Cologne Ave. Banks failed to stop and struck the rear of Juliano’s vehicle, which was then forced into the eastbound lanes of the White Horse Pike."
Once in the eastbound lanes, Juliano’s car was struck head-on by Cohen’s truck; his truck then left the road and hit a utility pole.
Police say all three drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center-Mainland for treatment.
According to cops, Route 30 was closed for two hours while the accident was investigated and Atlantic City Electric replaced the pole.
