It's that time of year again -- daylight saving time ends this weekend.

We set our clocks back this weekend and gain an hour of sleep Sunday morning.

Residents are encouraged to set their clocks back an hour before going to bed this Saturday night and to check their smoke detector batteries, too. This way we keep our homes safe heading into winter.

In this day of technology, most of our devices automatically reset clocks without having to touch, and by the way, don't forget those automobile clocks... always the last to be re-set.
