Two people have been arrested following a drug investigation in Egg Harbor City.

Local and State Police Investigation

The Egg Harbor City Police Department said late last week that they worked alongside the New Jersey State Police Crime Suppression South Unit to execute a search warrant at a home on the 500 block of St. Louis Ave.

Their work resulted in the arrests of 37-year-old Kody Ryan and 43-year-old Jamie Winters.

Charges Filed

The pair are facing the following charges:

  • Unlawful possession of a weapon while committing a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) offense
  • Unlawful possession of a handgun
  • Possession with intent to distribute a CDS
  • Possession of a CDS
  • 3 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use
  • 3 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia
  • 4 counts of receiving stolen property

Police said that during the booking process, they also confirmed that Winters was a wanted person by both the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office and authorities in Bucks County, PA.

Following their arrests, both were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where they remain pending court proceedings.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
