A dump truck that was heading along Pasadena Road in Manchester near the Burlington County border Wednesday morning ended up overturning leading to 24 tons of sand emptying out.

Manchester Police said that the 2020 Volvo VNL was heading north on Pasadena Road when suddenly the driver, 50-year old Erick Castro-Perez, lost control of the wheel and the passenger side tires ended up rolling onto the dirt shoulder.

The truck then went back onto the road but then crossed the centerline and ended up in the southbound lane and then overturned onto the side of the road spilling 24 tons of sand being hauled in the back of the truck.

Castro-Perez was then transported to Community Medical Center via ambulance for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
