PHILADELPHIA - A Keystone State battle between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field will open the Super Bowl champion's preseason slate in August.

Dates for the NFL's preseason schedule are to be determined but the Eagles will take the field in a competitive situation for the first time since winning Super Bowl LII sometime between Aug. 9 and Aug. 13.

The next week will feature a rematch of the Super Bowl when Philadelphia travels to Foxborough to square off against New England. A trip to Cleveland follows that before the annual preseason finale against the New York Jets, which will be in South Philadelphia this year.

The Eagles will open the regular season on Thursday, Sept. 6, which is expected to be a rematch of the NFC Championship Game against Minnesota. The full NFL regular-season sked will be released sometime later this month.
