Prosecutor: Suspect Arrested For Fatal Shooting in Egg Harbor City, NJ
The suspect wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Egg Harbor City late last week has been arrested.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says 27-year-old Dominique Woodall of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was taken into custody around 2:00 early Tuesday morning in Pleasantville.
Just before 5:00 last Friday afternoon, officers with the Egg Harbor City Police Department were called to the 200 block of St. Louis Avenue for a report of a shooting.
At the scene at Beacon Hall, they found 30-year-old Terrance Dismuke of Atlantic City with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told WPVI-TV a graduation party was taking place inside the banquet hall when shots were fired outside. Police have not stated whether the shooting was connected to the party.
Woodall has been charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon without a permit to carry.
He is currently being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and the Egg Harbor City Police Department are cooperatively investigating this incident.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
