Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey Structure Fire Engulfs Home
On Thursday, October 26, 2023, the Farmington Volunteer Fire Company, along with Cardiff, Bargaintown, Scullville, and West Atlantic City Volunteer Fire Company's battled a significant structure fire in the Farmington section of Egg Harbor Township,
Cooperative mutual aid was received from the Pleasantville, Northfield, and the Atlantic City International Airport Fire Departments.
Upon arrival, officers found the property of 110 Corders Dr. engulfed in flames. They were quickly able to determine that all occupants of the residence were safely evacuated.
The initial investigation of the scene appear to yield that a possible cause of the fire was electrical in nature.
The fire may have started at a downstairs bathroom vent.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has advised that the fire investigation into the cause will continue by the Egg Harbor Township Fire Inspection Unit.
The structure fire required traffic on Fire Road to be diverted for approximately 2 hours while the carious crews worked in the area.
This is the latest example of the fabulous esprit de corps that is available in the neighboring communities, who always step-up to help one another.
It is impressive each and every time that we witness their collegiality.
This is a developing story.
We will provide updates as warranted.
