EHT Man Seriously Injured on Black Horse Pike Monday Night

An Egg Harbor Township man was seriously injured on the Black Horse Pike Monday night after he was hit by a van.

Egg Harbor Township Police say they responded to the Black Horse Pike in West Atlantic City around 11:00 Monday night for the report of a crash.

Authorities say a van being driven by 81-year-old Andrew Conte of EHT was traveling westbound on the Black Horse Pike when he struck 41-year-old Kamal Chand, also of EHT.

Chand sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Atlantic City Medical Center-City Division. No other injuries were reported.

The Black Horse Pike was closed for nearly four hours while the crash scene was being investigated and cleared.
