What a smart approach. To actually give the customers what they want in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Don Hurley caught-up with the new Little’s Dairy Bar owners, located on Zion Road in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

The Bretones took over ownership in April, 2026. Their attention to detail has been impressive and this popular, long-standing ice cream store looks immaculate.

Don Asked Colleen Bretones …

“Do you intend to make any changes”?

Colleen Bretones said, We have changed nothing. We are keeping things exactly as our clients want it. We want Little's to be exactly as you remember it, said Bretones.

The New Owners of Tony’s Baltimore Grill Did The Same, Smart Thing

I'm a huge fan of the owners, Ronald Nolan Aspell and his wife Julie. They do things the right way. And, they were so smart to let Tony's be Tony's!

It's theirs. They could have taken over and proceeded to break Tony's Baltimore Grill. They didn't.

PS: Here is my perfectly prepared Tony’s Baltimore Grill sausage pizza from yesterday (see below).

Colleen and Dave Kelly are doing the same, smart thing at Little’s Dairy Bar. They’ve resisted the temptation to change it.

I have driven past Little’s Dairy Bar — a minimum of two times every day — and, I always take a look at this great roadside attraction each and every time.

Has endured for more than 53 years. I absolutely love long-standing businesses that are nimble and able to last for generations — like they have.

For the 2026 season, The Kelly’s Will be open for business through October, 2026.

The Kelly’s have demonstrated a profound respect for the history of Little’s Dairy Bar.
