New Jersey Hidden Gems
If you're looking for fun and exciting things to do around New Jersey this summer, new places to explore, and restaurants to try, the Garden State is full of hidden gems just waiting to be discovered.
I came across a Reddit thread recently where someone who had just moved to New Jersey for a new job asked others to share their favorite hidden spots for others to explore.
While some were a little hesitant to share their favorite spots, others were excited to offer suggestions, including one person who mentioned a trail in Monmouth County that stretches for miles.

If you're looking to get outside, enjoy a nice walk or bike ride, and take in the warm weather, there's a trail that stretches from Aberdeen to Highlands to Marlboro and Aberdeen, where you can do just that.
The Henry Hudson Trail in Monmouth County
"From the marshy regions of the Bayshore (Atlantic Highlands to Aberdeen) to the woods and fields of Marlboro and Freehold, the Henry Hudson Trail offers a wonderfully changing landscape as it traverses the county. The varied scenery, as well as the beautifully maintained conditions, are just two reasons why this trail was selected to be part of the National Rails-to-Trails Network," according to the Monmouth County Parks System.
The 24-mile trail is a former railroad right of way and was recenlty closed for maintenance by the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor/Boatyard from June 9th to June 11th, but has since reopened.
It's a great place to get out and enjoy this weekend.
