Five Charged After Gun Found in Wildwood Motel Room
Five people are in trouble with the law after cops say a housekeeper found a loaded gun inside a Wildwood motel room Saturday afternoon.
According to Wildwood Police, a housekeeper went to clean a room in a motel in the 200 block of East Montgomery Avenue when she found a loaded 9mm handgun.
Because the room was unoccupied at the time, the gun was secured by police and cops waited for the tenants of the room to return.
A short time later, the tenants of the room arrived in two separate groups. The first group was detained without incident, however the second group fled when approached by police. After a short foot pursuit, all of the people in the second group were detained.
A vehicle associated with the tenants was searched and cops found CDS/marijuana inside of it, according to authorities.
