Former long-time NFL running back Frank Gore was facing charges of simple assault and false imprisonment following an incident last summer at The Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The Atlantic City police announced Gore’s arrest on August 9, 2022.

Court documents first obtained by TMZ last year claimed that Gore had grabbed a female victim and "violently dragged her nude person along the floor of the 59th (floor) hallway.”

The victim is a 28-year-old woman, who was dragged by her hair.

We have learned and confirmed that Gore has pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of “violating the public health nuisance code.”

This guilty plea requires that Gore will have to pay various fines, fees and court costs totaling $ 2,000.

The original simple assault and false imprisonment charges have been dismissed against Gore.

By pleading guilty to the reduced charge, Gore is able to avoid a possible jail sentence, had he been found guilty of the more serious charges.

Gore played 16 seasons in the NFL as a running back. During his career, he rushed for 15.347 yards, which is 3rd in NFL history.

Only four running backs in NFL history have rushed for more than 15,000 yards, including: Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders and Frank Gore.

Gore rushed for 99 touchdowns for the San Francisco, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and New York Jets.

Gore is a member of the NFL's 2010s All-Decade Team in 2020.

Following his NFL career, Gore has turned to the sport of boxing. His current record is 2-0.
