I know that foxes in New Jersey are not a new phenomenon.

I just don’t remember ever hearing about foxes in places like Ventnor City and Ocean City, New Jersey.

Yet, over the past few weeks, I’ve written two articles about foxes in both of these shore communities.

If you missed our previous coverage, here are links to both the Ventnor and Ocean City stories.

When I wrote these two articles, I was flooded with social media comments from people saying that foxes in Ventnor and Ocean City is nothing new.

Well, it is rather new to me. I lived in Ventnor for more than 30 years. I have never seen a Fox in Ventnor during my entire lifetime.

Yet, Tim Mooney ran right into this beautiful Fox a few weeks ago on the Boardwalk in Ventnor (see below).

The above fox looks healthy, with such a shiny coat.

My good friend Michael Heath came in contact with a Fox in Ocean City, while he was doing work on a beach block home.

This Fox does not look as healthy as the Ventnor Fox (see the Ocean City Fox below).

The above Fox was shy, but, slowly grew to trust Mike Heath and took food from a long stick that he used to keep a short distance from the Fox.

I watched a Mike Heath video and it was cool to see the Fox come closer and closer to eat a treat.

I have also recently learned that there is a breed of Fox that can be domesticated as pets.

Finally, this Fox sleeping on the hood of a car, is both beautiful and unexpected (see below):

I have really grown to appreciate and like foxes.
