Six more people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Atlantic County.

On Friday, officials said five of the six were residents of long-term care facilities, including an 83-year-old woman and an 89-year-old man from Absecon; a 58-year-old man from Galloway; and a 53-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman from Hammonton. The sixth person was a 24-year-old man from Atlantic City. All six had underlying conditions that put them at greater risk for complications, according to health officials.

In addition, 118 more positive cases were reported among 45 men (ages 20 to 88) and 73 women (ages 22 to 97). 14 county residents were listed as recovered.

As of today, 1,433 COVID-19 cases have been reported across Atlantic County with 68 deaths and 318 residents cleared as recovered.
