Fulop & Small Trying to Avoid Subpoenas In Atlantic City, NJ Case
Steve Fulop is in a very tough campaign for the Democrat nomination for Governor of New Jersey.
Mikie Sherrill Appears To Have Pulled Away From Fulop
For much of the Democrat campaign, it had been a close race between Sherrill, Ras Baraka, Josh Gottheimer and Fulop.
The latest samplings of voter public opinion show Sherrill opening-up a wide lead.
Jack Ciattarelli has held a commanding lead on the Republican side from the beginning of the campaign. Ciattarelli is also a prohibitive favorite in the General Election.
Fulop’s Close Ties To Marty Small Are Problematic
Early on, Fulop named Small as a campaign finance chairman for his campaign. Both Fulop and Small enthusiasticly endorsed each other’s campaigns for Governor and Mayor.
Fulop headlined a fundraiser at Small’s home on May 3, 2025.

Fulop & Small Are Trying To Quash Subpoenas
We have learned that both Fulop, Small and the City of Atlantic City are trying to duck the subpoenas. They have all filed motions to try and quash subpoenas and avoid testifying under oath.
Small & Wife Are Facing Serious Criminal Charges
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office released the following about their indictment on September 17, 2024 as follows:
Marty Small, Sr., 50, and his wife, La Quetta Small, 47, of Atlantic City, NJ were both indicted for second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Marty Small, Sr. was also indicted for third-degree Terroristic Threats, and third-degree Aggravated Assault. It is alleged that during the months of December 2023 and January 2024, the defendants physically and emotionally abused their 15/16-year-old-daughter on multiple occasions. During one incident, on January 13, 2024, Marty Small, Sr. is alleged to have hit his daughter multiple times in the head with a broom causing her to lose consciousness, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Subsequently, a second Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted Marty Small for witness tampering.
Fulop’s precipitous drop in the Democrat Primary race for Governor may be directly associated with his endorsement of and involvement with Small.
