
Galloway Township, NJ, Man Sentenced After Brutal Domestic Violence Assault at NJ Hotel
Galloway Township, N.J. — An Atlantic County man is headed to prison in a domestic violence case.
On Friday, 50-year-old Naaron Reed of Galloway Township was sentenced to three years in state prison, subject to an 85% period of parole ineligibility (approximately 20 months) pursuant to the No Early Release Act.
According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, on February 16th, 2025, Galloway Township police responded to the Red Roof Inn & Suites for a reported domestic violence assault.
Victim Escapes to Bathroom and Calls 911 During Assault
At the scene, authorities spoke to the victim, who advised that her husband, Reed, wrapped his arm around her neck, strangling her. The victim explained that he threw her onto the floor, but was then able to escape to the hotel bathroom, where she called 9-1-1. Reed was arrested at the scene.
On January 16th, Reed pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree aggravated assault on a domestic violence victim.
