AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Will Hold A Blood Drive In Honor Of Sergeant Ivanov

On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m., a blood drive will be held at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Broomall Conference Room, located at 1925 Pacific Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, 08401.

Circumstances Surrounding The Shooting of Atlantic City Police Sergeant Christian Ivanov

Atlantic City Police SWAT Sergeant Christian Ivanov was shot on June 2, 2026, while serving a search warrant at a home that was located on the 100 block of North Florida Avenue.

A male suspect inside the home opened fire, and critically wounded Sergeant Ivanov. Atlantic City police officer Robert Reynolds was also injured.

Ivanov was very fortunate to survive after a bullet struck his femoral artery.

Fast actions by his colleagues at the scene gave AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center the opportunity to save Ivanov’s life for a second time.

A third Atlantic City police officer was uninjured and he returned fire and killed the suspect.

Ivanov was miraculously released from AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center on June 18, 2026.
