Governor Phil Murphy Increases Dining and More to 50 Percent
This is very good news.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has increased the capacity of key service businesses and industry to 50 percent.
Here is Governor Murphy’s announcement with the list of those who may increase their capacity from 35 percent to 50 percent.
Governor Murphy has taken a lot of flak for being so conservative in his approach to reopening New Jersey.
It is my view that Governor Murphy has been consistent and cautious in his decision-making process during the COVID-19 health pandemic.
I fully recognize and understand that some strongly believe that The Governor has moved too slowly in reopening New Jersey.
It’s been very painful to witness people and their life’s work hurt by the pandemic.
I have spoken with Governor Murphy at length during a series of candid on-air interviews. He has consistently expressed his deep regret for all who have suffered financially and otherwise.
The Governor’s approach has been one of balance. First, an absolute commitment to the health and well being of the citizens of New Jersey.
Trying to keep more than 9 million people healthy during an unprecedented health pandemic is Herculean in nature. There is no “how to” manual for this kind of massive, life and death emergency.
So, what you have to do is set priorities. Some will agree with you and others will disagree with your decisions.
As more New Jerseyans get vaccinated, we will go from pandemic to endemic. We will get our full lives back. I know this with certainty.
I am absolutely convinced that we are going to have a fantastic summer, 2021 season. There is a pent up demand, whereby people can’t wait to recreate and do so many things that they’ve not been on able to do for more than a year now.
I believe that we are turning the final corner and heading for home, and, that we’re going to very much like what we see.
Yes, We are going to be able to go from existing, back to living once again. It’s going to be a beautiful thing.
Get ready, it’s coming soon
