Hamilton Twp. Man Hit in Head with Tire Iron During Home Invasion

A man forced entry into a Hamilton Township home Friday evening, hitting one resident in the head with a tire iron and biting him on the arm.

Hamilton Township Police say the home invasion  report was made just after 8pm Friday at a residence on Brecknock Court.

Police say an unknown black male forced entry into the home, assaulted a 47 year old man, then fled the home - and was last seen running through woods on Cologne Avenue.

The injured resident was treated at the scene, and later transported himself to the hospital. An 18 year old man, also home at the time, was not injured.

According to police, "the suspect was described as being in his late 20's to early 40's, stocky build with a medium complexion, a shaved or bald head, and a beard, wearing a gray tee-shirt, gray sweatpants, and a gray hat."
