Head-On Crash Injures Two in Hamilton Township Thursday Morning

Two people were injured in a head-on crash on Route 50 at Old Egg Harbor Road Thursday morning in Hamilton Township.

Officers say at about 7:30 Thursday morning, a car traveling southbound on Route 50, being driven by 46-year-old Lisa Zeuner of Hammonton, was struck head-on by an SUV traveling northbound, being driven by 56-year-old Nancy Martellio of Millville. Officials say both drivers sustained moderate injuries and were trapped in their vehicles for a time.

An investigation by Hamilton Township Police concluded that the northbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck the southbound car. As a result, Martellio was issued a citation for failing to maintain lane.

Both drivers were transported to ARMC-Mainland for treatment.
