Holy Spirit H.S. Senior Trevor Cohen Officially Signs With Rutgers
Today is National Signing Day and athletes all over South Jersey will be making their decisions on where they will continue their athletic careers.
Holy Spirit High School senior Trevor Cohen has made his decision and will be heading to Rutgers to play baseball.
The Holy Spirit Spartan is also the team's starting quarterback but will continue his baseball career in New Jersey.
The 6'1", 185-pound outfielder and Brigantine resident committed to the Scarlet Knights back in April but made it official today.
Cohen has been a big name on the local baseball scene since he was 13-years-old. He played as a member of the Atlantic Shore Babe Ruth 13-year-old team that made it all the way to the Babe Ruth World Series in Mountain Home, AR, in 2017.
In 2018, he was a member of the 14-year-old Atlantic Shore team that won a World Series title.
In high school, he has been the starting quarterback for the Spartans football team and has been a fixture in center field for the Holy Spirit baseball team.
Cohen hit .360 during his junior season, pounding out 27 hits, scoring 28 runs with 19 RBI, six doubles, two triples, and a home run.
