Hurley: I Ventured Out Into Our Winter Wonderland In EHT, NJ
Saturday, January 29, 2022
12:00 noon update.
It’s still snowing and the wind continues to blow strong.
I ventured outside to take a look and feel of The Blizzard of 2022. It was both beautiful and physically demanding … just to walk in these conditions.
The Northwest winds have caused massive snow drifts. But, it appears that we have (about) a legitimate 14 inches of snow in Egg Harbor Township at this hour.
More snow will continue over the next few hours and a Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 4:00 p.m., today.
Here are some photos that I’ve taken from our backyard and I took a long, wide walk around our property, as not to disturb any snow and took a photo of the front of our home with no foot prints of any kind.
It looks beautiful.
I had to walk through drifts of at least two feet high. It required taking very high steps to get through the snow.

No doubt, we have experienced blizzard conditions in Southern New Jersey.
Here’s an illustrative photo to show you the present accumulation totals from our backyard:
And, finally …yes, this is me walking through the snow drifts back towards our home from my outdoor photo session.
All kidding aside, it is physically demanding just walking outside in these conditions. It’s an unnatural stride, as you have to lift each leg very high … in and out of the snow, high stepping in order to make forward progress.
The blizzard warning remains in effect until 4:00 p.m. today.
Please be careful. Please stay safe.
