It appears that few are aware of the potential implications if Atlantic City, New Jersey Mayor Marty Small wins re-election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Marty Small Criminal Trial Begins On December 1, 2025

About 3 weeks after the General Election, Marty Small will face a criminal trial before an Atlantic County jury.

Small is criminally charged with:

  • second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
  • third-degree Terroristic Threats.
  • third-degree Aggravated Assault.
  • A second Atlantic County Grand Jury also indicted Marty Small for alleged witness tampering.

La’Quetta Small Is Also Facing A Criminal Trial

Marty Small’s wife, La’Quetta Small faces a second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child criminal charge.

Her criminal trial begins on January 12, 2026.

La’Quetta Small filed a formal motion to have her criminal trial separated from her husband, Marty Small. Former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Bernard DeLury approved the motion.

Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Says

It is alleged that during the months of December 2023 and January 2024, the defendants (Marty & La’Quetta Small) physically and emotionally abused their 15/16-year-old-daughter on multiple occasions. During one incident, on January 13, 2024, Marty Small, Sr. is alleged to have hit his daughter multiple times in the head with a broom causing her to lose consciousness, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Here’s What Happens If Marty Small Wins Re-Election & Shortly Thereafter Is Criminally Convicted

The consequences of this likely scenario are significant, because the evidence against Marty and La’Quetta Small is compelling and voluminous.

Both Small’s Will Be Removed From Office If They Are Convicted

Regarding La’Quetta Small, it’s pretty simple. The Atlantic City Board of Education will simply hire a new Superintendent of Public Schools … and, La’Quetta Small goes away from education forever.

If Marty Small Is Convicted — It’s A Real Mess

1. Small will immediately be removed from office.

2. The Atlantic City Council President (Aaron “Sporty” Randolph) will instantly become Acting Mayor … while also retaining his City Council position and City Council Presidency. Talk about powerful. One person with control of both the executive and legislative branches of Atlantic City government.

3. The Atlantic City Democrat Committee will next select three people. These names are submitted to the Atlantic City Council.

Atlantic City Council will vote, with the first to receive at least 5 votes becoming Mayor. This is how Marty Small became Mayor … upon the conviction of former Mayor Frank Gilliam.

4. An election will be scheduled. The winner would then serve the remainder of Marty Small’s term.

It’s Important That Voters Understand This

However, something appears to be lost in translation here, as Small is favored to win re-election, despite all of this madness.
