
Invaluable Atlantic County, NJ Employee Retires After 52 Years
This is something that you rarely ever see. A 52-year Atlantic County, New Jersey employee has officially retired.

Jerry Del Rosso, long-time Atlantic County Administrator, has retired effective June 1, 2026.
Atlantic County Executuve Dennis Levinson

Levinson has promoted Del Rosso throughout the years to positions of increasing responsibility.
About Del Rosso, Levinson said:
It is difficult to find a more honest, hard-working and effective public servant than Jerry Del Rosso. He has been my county administrator since 2005. Jerry is highly respected inside and outside county government. We are all better as a result of his management and leadership. He has left an indelible mark and has contributed greatly to Atlantic County's success. In May, Del Rosso was recognized by the New Jersey Association of Counties with the County Administrator Lifetime Achievement Award at its annual conference in Atlantic City, for his lifelong and unwavering dedication to public service and for always being a kind, thoughtful, and resourceful gentleman, said Levinson.

It will be hard, if not impossible to find an Atlantic County employee who would say a bad word about Jerry Del Rosso.
Del Rosso’s work ethic is unrivaled.

It’s not a stretch to say that Jerry Del Rosso did the work of three people, maybe more.
No one has to tell me this… There is not one person who right now can do everything that Jerry Del Rosso did.
Del Rosso’s Career With Atlantic County Government
Began in 1974, where he began his career with Atlantic County Government in the Department of Social Services.
Steadily, Del Rosso’s rise through the ranks, becoming the top executive employee under County Executive Levinson.
Jerry Del Rosso Will Be Missed
“Jerry is beloved by all," said Levinson. "He is one of the finest people I have the pleasure to know. He has a brilliant mind and a caring heart. We wish him all the best."
