It was an investigation that was necessary.

After an HVAC technician was charged with secretly recording girls in school restrooms in Gloucester Township, it was revealed that he had worked on heating and air cooling systems in schools in Cape May County.

An investigation, though, has determined that no devices of any kind have been found in schools he worked at in Cape May County.

According to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland, the investigation followed the arrest of Gregory Mahley, 51, of West Deptford. Mahley was charged with Invasion of Privacy, Child Pornography, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

An investigation in Gloucester Township had revealed that "Mahley, a commercial HVAC technician employed by Multi-Temp Mechanical, Inc., located in Westville, NJ, had been contracted by the Gloucester Township Board of Education to perform heating ventilation and air conditioning services. While working at the middle school, Mahley was found secretly recording females using the girl’s bathroom. During the investigation, officials seized numerous electronic devices from Mahley’s residence and vehicle and discovered the recordings of juvenile and adult victims."

It was soon discovered that Mahley has worked performing HVAC services at Cape May County Technical High School, the Middle Township School District, and the administrative office of the Cape May County MUA.

Sutherland says detectives from the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office did a joint investigation with Middle Township Police to find out if Mahley had allegedly done anything similar in Middle Township.

Sutherland also said that while the investigation is ongoing, he "wants to reassure the residents of Cape May County that the above schools have been thoroughly checked and no mirrors or recording devices have been located."
