Ocean City, N.J. — Two Ocean City residents are facing drug distribution charges after detectives executed a search warrant at a Haven Avenue residence last week.

Search Warrant

Detectives from the Ocean City Police Department and K-9 Unit, along with the Cape May County SWAT Team and Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, served the warrant at a home on the 400 block of Haven Avenue on July 23rd.

Charges

31-year-old Umar Lewis and 37-year-old Tyyona White, both of Ocean City, were charged with third-degree possession with intent to distribute, third-degree possession with intent to distribute within a school zone, third-degree possession of CDS, and fourth-degree possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia.

Lewis was lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center pending a detention hearing. White was processed and released on a complaint summons.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
