Two people from opposite sides of the country have been indicted in connection to the murder of a man this past summer.

On Wednesday, an Atlantic County grand jury indicted 28-year-old Dyshawn Bostick from Tinton Falls, NJ, and 37-year-old Franchesa Burgos-Gonzalez from Phoenix, AZ, on counts of murder, conspiracy, and firearms offenses related to the death of 33-year-old Issac Bishop of Irvington, Essex County, NJ.

On June 9th, 2024, Bishop went missing from the area of Irvington. On June 30th, his body was discovered by a hunter in the woods off 13th Avenue in Weymouth Township.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says Bishop's last known contacts included Burgos-Gonzalez weeks before his body was found.

Cellphone data showed that Bishop, Bostick, and Burgos-Gonzalez simultaneously headed toward Weymouth Twp. from North Jersey. The data also showed that Bostick and Burgos-Gonzalez were at the scene of the murder on the same day that Bishop was last known to be alive.

Following an intensive investigation by the New Jersey State Police, the pair was charged with Bishop's murder.

Bostick is currently detained pending trial Burgos-Gonzalez awaits her detention hearing after being extradited from Arizona.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
