An Atlantic County jury has found Kevin Davis, (37) of Atlantic City, New Jersey of 15 crimes, including:

  • 1st degree maintaining a fentanyl production facility.
  • 2nd degree unlawful possession of a handgun in the furtherance of fentanyl production and distribution.
  • Resisting arrest by flight.

Along with this, Davis was also found guilty of an additional 1st degree crime:

  • Unlawful possession of a handgun by an offender previously convicted of violating the No Early Release Act for violent offenders.

About this conviction, Atlantic County Prosecutor Will Reynolds said:

“On October 3. 2019, members of the Atlantic City Police Department, including Detectives Joseph Procopio and Innocenso Visceglia executed a search warrant at a residence used by Davis to package fentanyl for sale,” said Reynolds.

”In Davis’ bedroom. the police recovered a substantial quantity of fentanyl paraphernalia used to package and label fentanyl for sale  and a handgun loaded with a high capacity ammunition magazine which contained various rounds of ammunition. including hollow point ammunition,” said Reynolds.

Police initially attempted to take Davis into custody after he exited the front door of the home. He fled from police officers on a bicycle until he was captured by the Atlantic City Police and taken into custody.

Police recovered more than than 100 folds of fentanyl that were packaged for sale when Davis was being taken into custody.

Davis was captured near the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City and the Pennsylvania Avenue School.

This permitted law enforcement to also charge Davis additional with additional criminal charges for possessing fentanyl with intent to distribute near a school and public park.

Davis was found guilty of these additional charges.

Davis is currently imprisoned at the Atlantic County Justice Facility until his sentencing, which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
