Monmouth County, NJ, Man Admits Having Cocaine, Gun

A Keansburg man now potentially faces over a decade behind bars after pleading guilty to drug and gun-related charges.

In court this past Monday, 42-year-old Davidson Jules of Keansburg pleaded guilty to possession of over five ounces of cocaine with the intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a handgun.

As a result of his plea, Jules now faces 12 years in state prison.

An investigation involving the Keansburg Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office last spring culminated when search warrants were executed at Jules' home and at a storage unit that he rented.

During the search, police recovered over five ounces of cocaine, over ½-ounce of heroin, methamphetamines, a firearm, as well as paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics.

Jules will be required to serve 42 months of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

This case is being handled by Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Emily Cartmell; Jules is being represented by Nikole Pezzullo, Esq., of Freehold.
