
North Jersey Man Pleads Guilty to Gun, Drug Charges in Atlantic City
A North Jersey man is facing several years in prison for selling drugs in Atlantic City last year.
Last Wednesday, 27-year-old Carlos Gonzales of Passaic pleaded guilty to second-degree possession of a firearm during the commission of a narcotics offense and third-degree possession with the intent to distribute narcotics.
On October 8th, 2025, Atlantic City police officers witnessed Gonzales distributing narcotics at New York and Atlantic Avenues. Officers apprehended Gonzales and found wax folds containing fentanyl, money from the proceeds of narcotics sales, and a firearm on him, according to prosecutors.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 3rd.
Pursuant to the terms of a plea agreement, Gonzales' recommended sentence will be seven years in state prison with a three-and-a-half-year parole disqualifier for the firearm charge and three years in prison for the distribution of narcotics offense.
