An Atlantic City man is facing a recommended one-year prison sentence in connection with an armed road rage incident last summer.
On Friday, April 17, 29-year-old Quadir Thomas pleaded guilty to fourth-degree aggravated assault for pointing a firearm at another person.
Summer Road Rage
According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, on August 8, 2025, Atlantic City police received a report that a driver had pointed a gun at two people during an apparent road rage incident.
Authorities said Thomas was swerving in and out of traffic before a verbal confrontation occurred between him and the victims while they were in their respective vehicles. Officials said Thomas then exited his vehicle with a handgun and demanded that the victims pull over. When one victim said they were going to call the police, Thomas pointed the firearm at both victims as they drove away.
Sentencing Scheduled
Thomas is scheduled to be sentenced on May 28. Prosecutors are recommending a 365-day state prison sentence with parole ineligibility.
