Man, Woman Arrested in Knife-point Robbery in Atlantic City
A man and woman, both from Atlantic City, who allegedly robbed a victim at knife-point have been arrested.
Atlantic City Police say their officers responded to the 1000 block of Sewell Avenue for a report of a robbery. The victim, a 25-year-old man from Atlantic City, had been robbed of his belongings by 26-year-old Emmanuel Figueroa and 28-year-old Alyssa Raio, according to cops. Figueroa held a knife to the victim as Raio removed his belongings from his pockets.
An officer located both suspects at South Carolina and Adriatic Avenues and arrested them. Figueroa was found in possession of a knife and two bags of heroin. Both suspects were also found to have active warrants for their arrest.
Figueroa has been charged with robbery, theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, conspiracy, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and contempt of court. Raio was charged with robbery, theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, conspiracy, and contempt of court. Both were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
