
Manslaughter & Endangerment Charges: Egg Harbor Township, NJ
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has confirmed that an Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey woman now faces 2 significant charges as follows:
Charged:
Oriel Dixon, 38 years old from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
Charges:
- 1st Degree Aggravated Manslaughter.
- 2nd Degree Child Endangerment.
This is the result of a 2-month long collaboration between:
Egg Harbor Township Police Department and The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has released the following information:
“The charges stem from the fatal collision on Blackman Road that occurred December 16th, where Ms. Dixon crossed into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on with 72-year-old Joseph Natale of Somers Point. Joseph was taken to Shore Medical Center by EMS, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The arrest came after a two-month investigation conducted by Officer Brady, Officer Moran, and Sergeant Stearns of the EHT Traffic Safety Unit, as well as Detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Team. The Egg Harbor Township Police Department would like to thank the Atlantic County Prosecutors Office Fatal Accident team for their joint effort in this incident and bringing forth criminal charges,” said The Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
Dixon is presently at The Atlantic County Justice Facility, pending a detention hearing.
