Marlboro Bus Driver Arrested for Watching Obscene Material in Front of Students
A bus driver who drove students to Collier High School in Marlboro has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after he was caught with obscene material on his cell phone.
Marlboro Police Detective Lieutenant Stephen Levy tells Townsquare Media News that the driver had obscene material on his cell phone that was in the public viewing area of the students and was then viewed by the students.
This all took place on Thursday when Marlboro Police responded to Collier High School and after an investigation by both the Patrol Division and Detective Bureau, the bus driver, Dominic Vella, 73, Brick was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and promoting obscene material.
Police said that there was no physical contact between the bus driver and any of the students and no one was injured.
Vella, who is also an employee of Briggs Transportation of Point Pleasant, was processed and released on a summons.
Briggs Transportation had no comment on the matter to Townsquare Media News on Saturday afternoon.
