Mays Landing Man Facing Weapon and Drug Charges
A Mays Landing man is facing a list of charges following a traffic stop Thursday afternoon.
Hamilton Township Police say one of their officers stopped a car on Almond Street in the township around 3:15 Thursday afternoon following a 911 call about an erratic driver.
Three people in the car were identified by police as 20-year-old Antoyane McCall, the driver; a 17-year-old male in the front seat; and 20-year-old Julianni Nunez; all of Mays Landing.

During the course of the motor vehicle stop, Nunez was observed by patrol officers, stuffing an object into a boot on the floorboard. Nunez refused to follow officers commands and a struggle ensued, which lead to him being removed from the vehicle. Officers ultimately located marijuana on Nunez, along with a .22 caliber handgun from inside the boot.
Officers and Nunez were treated at the scene by EMTs for minor injuries.
McCall was taken into custody and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on an unrelated warrant.
The juvenile was not charged and was released.
As for Nunez, he was charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not to possess weapons, transporting weapons, distribution of CDS, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
