Mays Landing Man Indicted on Child Luring, Stalking Charges
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says a Mays Landing man has been indicted for attempting to lure two children into his vehicle last summer.
35-year-old Talal L. Aridi was indicted by a grand jury late last week on two counts of second degree attempt to lure or entice a child by various means and one count of fourth degree stalking.
On July 16th, Hamilton Township Police responded to the area of Pinehurst Avenue and Berry Drive for the report of a possible child luring incident. Authorities say a caller advised them that a silver Subaru Forrester, driven by a white male with dark black hair, approached an 11-year-old girl while she was walking down the street. The suspect asked the girl if she needed a ride and for her phone number, at which point she ran to a neighbor’s house. While officers were responding to the incident, they located the suspect vehicle, which was being driven by 35-year-old Talal Aridi of Mays Landing.
Aridi is scheduled to be arraigned on February 20th and is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
