Ventnor City, N.J. — Authorities are asking for help as they search for a missing 86-year-old man.

Ventnor City Police Search for Missing Senior Citizen

The Ventnor City Police Department said Edward Earnest left his home on the 400 block of North Wissahickon Avenue at approximately 5:30 early Saturday morning.

Earnest left his home on foot and is believed to be barefoot. He was last seen wearing grey sweatpants. No further description was provided by authorities.

A search is being conducted with assistance from the Margate City Police Department, Ventnor City Fire Department, the Ocean City Police Department's drone unit, and the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office tracking K-9 unit.

Authorities Ask Public to Report Any Sightings

Anyone who sees Edward Earnest or has information regarding his whereabouts should immediately contact the Ventnor City Police Department at 609-822-2101 or call 9-1-1.

If he is spotted, police are asking you to remain with him, but do not give him a ride.
