A South Jersey woman is suing Dick's Sporting Goods after her son was hit in the head with a golf club by another young shopper.

The Daily Journal reports the incident happened at Dick's Sporting Goods in Vineland in 2017.

Reports say the incident took place in a golf fitting room where shoppers have the opportunity to swing golf clubs and try them out.

According to the article:

The lawsuit states that the boy, now 15, suffered a traumatic brain injury and continues to require medical treatment. The lawsuit alleges the fitting room negligently was open to the public without supervision to prevent customers injuring themselves or others. The lawsuit originally was filed in December in Atlantic County by Tiffany Fields, the mother of the boy, and transferred to Cumberland County.
