Egg Harbor City, N.J. — A targeted narcotics investigation at a local apartment complex led to the arrest of an Egg Harbor City man who is now facing a long list of charges, including allegations of child cruelty and neglect.
34-year-old Tyshon Nieves was arrested on Tuesday, September 15th, after Egg Harbor City Police and other law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at a residence in the Harbor City Apartment Complex.
Charges
Nieves faces two counts each of certain persons not to possess a weapon, unlawful possession of a handgun, and receiving stolen property, along with three counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and cruelty and neglect of a child. He was also charged with certain persons not to possess ammunition and possession of hollow-point ammunition.
The investigation involved the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Unit, and the Brigantine, Stafford Township, Little Egg Harbor, and Hamilton Township Police Departments.
Nieves was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending further court proceedings.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
