New Atlantic City High School Principal to Replace Indicted One
Clarification:
The document below states that this was effective on 1/31/22.
A well placed source says that Donald Harris will remain as Acting Principal of Atlantic City High School.
The document above was from when Samantha Strickler became Vice Principal … from when she replaced Days-Chapman, who was promoted to Principal.
Harris has served as Acting Principal since Constance Days-Chapman was suspended.
We regret the confusion. However, we want to be fully transparent and share everything that we’ve learned.
A teacher has advised that they met yesterday and that the Principal change is going to happen.
However, there are school officials now saying that this is not accurate.
Here is our original article below, which remains unedited.
The Atlantic City, New Jersey Public Schools District is poised to appoint a new High School Principal to replace Constance Days-Chapman, who has been serving a suspension following criminal charges.
We have obtained a document that lays out the terms, however, the Atlantic City Board of Education has not yet voted on the appointment.
Days-Chapman was immediately suspended following being (direct) criminally charged by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office with:
- second-degree Official Misconduct.
- third-degree Hindering Apprehension of
- Another.
- fourth-degree Obstruction of Justice.
- disorderly persons Failure to Report Child Abuse.
Following the direct criminal charges by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Days-Chapman was indicted by an Atlantic County, New Jersey Grand Jury.
We have been advised that effective Friday, January 31, 2025, Samantha Sickler, the current Vice Principal of Atlantic City High School will become Principal.
Sickler will be placed on Step 1 at $ 112,391, plus and additional $ 1,500 for possessing a 2nd Master’s Degree.
This means that Days-Chapman is now gone as Principal of Atlantic City High School.
However, Days-Chapman remains very close to Marty and La’Quetta Small. Should Days-Chapman prevail in her criminal trial, no one doubts that a role will be made available.
Days-Chapman remains Chair of the Atlantic City Democrat Committee and has served as campaign manager for Marty Small.
La’Quetta Small has remained in place as Atlantic City Superintendent of Public Schools, despite being criminally charged (Atlantic County Grand Judy indictment) for child abuse.
This has remained a shock that La’Quetta Small has been permitted to have direct staff and pupil contact before disposition of her criminal charges are resolved.
Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small has been indicted by two separate Atlantic County Grand Jury’s for child abuse and witness tampering criminal charges.
Developing.
