New Jersey Congressman Tom Kean Jr. Is Missing

I didn’t think too much about it, except for the fact that whenever I call or text United States Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. — He usually picks-up, or, always gets right back to me. Not this time.

This reads like a fiction novel — except it is real.

I called and texted Congressman Kean, specifically because I was guest-hosting nationally for Fox News Radio (The Guy Benson Show) and wanted to book him as a guest.

This is the first time in decades that Congressman Kean did not get back to me.

I did think it was unusual … but, I just wrote it off that he’s busy and I was calling him on short notice.

I Have Learned That Congressmen Jeff Van Drew & Chris Smith Can’t Reach Kean, Either

According to the Daily Caller, Kean has not cast a vote since March 5, 2026 and he has missed 50 roll call votes.

This is beyond unprecedented for Kean, who has always been a responsible, solid individual.

Van Drew and Smith confirmed to the Daily Caller that “they had been calling and texting Kean out of concern, only to be met with radio silence,” wrote the Daily Caller.

New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District

Looks to be highly competitive. For Kean to uncharacteristically go missing, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It is totally out of character for him to do this.

Health Issue?

Sources close to Kean’s office and campaign have told the Daily Caller:

Members close to Kean's office and campaign told the outlet that the congressman had run into unannounced and unspecified health issues and that he would be returning to office in the next few weeks. "Everyone understands from their own family experiences that people run into unexpected health issues," Bill Palatucci, a Republican National Committee member and the Kean campaign's attorney, told Politico. "Voters will be completely sympathetic and it's so early in the year that it will be long forgotten come the fall,” according to Politico.
