Recent swift work by police officers in one major New Jersey city got over a dozen fugitives off of the streets in just 48 hours.

Those that were on the run were wanted on criminal mischief and robbery to aggravated assault and terroristic threat charges.

Some were as young as 18 while others were in their 50s and 60s.

The warrant roundups, which took place on November 8th and 9th, were part of the Newark Police Division's Crime Reduction Initiative.

The following people were taken into custody

  • Quasim Huggins, 18, was wanted for robbery, conspiracy, and weapon possession
  • Toneyah Lopez, 18, was wanted for aggravated assault, weapon possession, and conspiracy
  • Wyntyr Wilkins Zackery, 19, was wanted for aggravated assault, weapon possession, and conspiracy
  • Yusuf Brown, 22, was wanted for robbery, conspiracy, weapon possession, and certain persons prohibited from weapon possession
  • Alzahir Lancaster, 23, was wanted for weapon possession, possession of prohibited weapons, and certain persons prohibited from weapon possession
  • Rajohnna S. Walker, 31, was wanted for robbery, aggravated assault terroristic threats, and weapon possession
  • Shiquandra Evans, 32, was wanted for aggravated assault and weapon possession
  • Andre Harris, 33, was wanted for criminal mischief and violation of a temporary restraining order
  • Rasoo Scott, 34, was wanted for an aggravated assault shooting, weapon possession, and possession of prohibited weapons
  • Edward Torres, 36, was wanted for terroristic threats and violation of a temporary restraining order
  • Jermaine Rabb, 43, was wanted for simple assault
  • Kaiser Aguiar Coelho, 47, was wanted for aggravated assault
  • Stephen Montgomery, 55, was wanted for theft of movable property
  • Russell Fluker, 60, was wanted for aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and simple assault
