A South Jersey mom has been charged with leaving her 2-year-old child in her car while she went into a ShopRite.

Not only that, but she also shoplifted, police said, and left her child hidden under a blanket.

Cinnaminson police said they found the toddler after they busted Kaneesha Hunt-Herrington, 30, for stealing $220 worth of items from the supermarket on Route 130, old the Patch of Cinnaminson reported.

Police said the child was taken into the custody of the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency, which in turn gave the child to family members. Hunt-Herrington was being held at the Burlington County Jail pending trial on $50,000 bail.
