Community involvement and good old-fashioned police work lead to two people being arrested and drugs and a stolen vehicle recovered in Atlantic City Wednesday morning.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, Sgt. Mohammed Kaiser and Ofc. Jamar Dabney of the Neighborhood Coordination Unit were distributing tip411 flyers in the first block of South Bellevue Avenue at around 11:00 when they became aware of a vehicle that was a nuisance to residents in the area.

With help from other officers, that vehicle was found to be reported stolen from Philadelphia.

Inside were two men, 32-year-old Dominick Clark of Yeadon, PA, and 34-year-old Demetrius Scott of Philadelphia, who were both arrested.

During a search of the stolen vehicle, officers recovered 100 bags of heroin, a small amount of cocaine, more than 27 grams of marijuana, and prescription medication.

Both Scott and Clark were charged with receiving stolen property, two counts of possession of CDS, and two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute.

Both men were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
