The Ocean City city council is planning a vote Thursday on whether to bring two well known performers to the Music Pier for shows this summer.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that Council will meet at 7pm Thursday to decide if they will book shows with Vanessa Williams and Gloria Gaynor.

Williams has been a frequent performer in Atlantic City since becoming the first black Miss America in 1984.

Gaynor, known for her disco hit "I Will Survive", would perform with the Ocean City Pops, according to the Press of Atlantic City report.

The contract price for Vanessa Williams is up to $65,000, with Gaynor costing as much as $25,000.

Ocean City presents a series of concerts with bigger name performers every summer at the Music Pier, having hosted The Beach Boys, The Temptations, Indigo Girls, Jason Mraz and others in recent years.

We will let you know about developing shows for this summer in Ocean City.
