I can't be the only one who misses the excitement, the singing along, and the emotion of seeing one of my favorite bands perform live on stage.

The concert and live touring business have taken a massive hit ever since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. It seems like forever the last time I went to a concert, which was Journey, live at Hard Rock in Atlantic City in December of 2019.

The summer of 2021 could be the time when we finally get back to seeing live music once again. Of course, this is all subject to change amid the concerns of the coronavirus pandemic.

Gov. Phil Murphy has announced that live concerts and entertainment can take place at venues in the Garden State that have a capacity of 5,000 fixed seats or more. Attendance must be at 10% maximum for indoor concerts and at 15% maximum for outdoor events.

We'll still have to wait and see if it's financially viable for some of the largest concert venues in the state to host a major act or live concert with only 10% or 15% attendance limits.

The 2020 Ocean City Summer Concert Series was also affected by COVID and the entire slate of shows were postponed and rescheduled for this summer. All tickets will be honored for the new dates. You can also get a refund if you haven't already, by contacting BRE Presents or you can call 856-429-6100. You can also contact Ticketmaster.
