One Arrested, One Wanted in Poconos for Atlantic City Theft Investigation
A theft investigation that started in Atlantic City led to a police chase and crash in the Poconos over the weekend; over $100,000 in cash was seized by cops.
WFMZ-TV reports Pocono Mountain Regional Police were assisting detectives from the Atlantic City Police Department in a felony theft investigation.
On Saturday evening, police saw one of the suspects leave a home in Tobyhanna Township. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but it sped-away northbound of Interstate 380.
According to a press release, the vehicle eventually crashed after exiting the interstate. The passenger was taken into custody but the driver ran into the woods and was not apprehended.
Investigators searched that vehicle along with two others and they recovered more than $100,000, drug paraphernalia, and a "large amount of merchandise consistent with the proceeds of theft," according to WFMZ's report.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 44-year-old Khalif Pinnix, also of Newark, who police identified as the driver of the car that crashed.
Police said more charges are expected against a third person for possession of a stolen handgun and concealed weapon.
