A one-month-old infant from Atlantic County is one of the latest people to test positive for COVID-19, according to Atlantic County health officials.

The child, identified only as a boy, was one of 33 new cases of the coronavirus in Atlantic County announced Sunday.

The cases, including the one-month-old boy, are among 19 males, ages 1 month – 73 years, and 14 females, ages 52-91 years.

They also reported the death of a 73-year-old Hammonton man attributed to the virus.

According to the Atlantic County Health Department, Hammonton also had nine of the new cases while Hamilton Township and Pleasantville each had four. Three new positives were identified in Atlantic City and Northfield. Absecon, Galloway and Ventnor all had two; Buena Borough, Folsom, and Linwood all had one new confirmation. An additional case was listed for Atlantic County but the specific town has yet to be determined.

With these new cases, Atlantic County now has a total of 1,778 residents who have tested positive with 112 deaths. A total of 501 residents have been cleared as recovered.
