We’re nine days into the “15 Days to Slow the Spread” Coronavirus plan. More than 100 million Americans have been asked stay at home, with the goal being to limit new cases of the Coronavirus.

This is so important and the effort is a noble and profound one. But, at the same time it has crippled our economy.

Quick refresher. We went from an environment whereby not long ago, Dr. Anthony Fauci said to just wash your hands. From there, things continued to evolve quickly.

Next, it was don’t gather at events of more than 500 people. Then 250 people. Then 10 people.

Finally, it was don’t gather at all and stay at home.

Very soon, President Donald Trump will have to make one of the most consequential decisions in American history. At some point in the not too distant future, America will have to reopen for business. As the President said, “The cure can’t be worse than the problem.”

Whether some people like it or not, America was built to run. Not to stop. President Trump tipped America off last night that “America will reopen in weeks, not months.” I have no doubt that partisan Democrats and the anti-Trump national media will pounce on President Trump when he pulls the trigger.

Sadly, I predict that the usually suspects will call The President a murderer and other horrible names as some people will still become sick and some will die. It’s a classic no-win scenario for President Trump. No matter what he does, he’ll be attacked.

When America reopens while people are still being infected by the Coronavirus, The President's detractors will have a field day and they’ll exploit it for perceived political gain. New York, Washington state, California and many others will still be dealing with legitimate concerns.

In a potential first wave of the reopening of the states, the hardest hit may not be able to fully participate. Perhaps they can reopen certain functions where it is reasonably safe. President Trump will have no choice but to reopen the country. “We have to get our country back to work. Our people want to go back to work,” said President Trump.

Millions of Americans are out of work. If no action is taken, various businesses will be lost forever. According to The President, America will reopen in a matter of weeks, not months.

The media and their fellow Democrat partisans will surely criticize them move. No one wants even a single American to become sick or die from the virus. But, we also can’t afford to keep America closed for much longer.

NOTE: For the first time, President Trump just said that he would like to see the country back open for business before Easter, which is Sunday, April 12, 2020.
